Today, I want to talk to you about one of my favorite places in Madrid, the famous park RETIRO. As we like to call it between us, it is our little central park, since it is located in the heart of the city. The land is about 125 hectares and is home for about 15000 trees. It’s filled of a lot of sculpture and monuments, as well as a gorgeous lake where people come for boating or just to relax on the steps in front of it (as I usually do ;) ) .

Retiro host a variety of events and it is considered as being Madrid’s premier attraction as it offers cultural, leisure and sport activities. One of its historical and popular place is the Glass palace which is basically a romantic pavilion with a collection of exotic plants.

Now that I talked a little about the park, let me tell you the six reasons why I love it <3 :

1-    It is the best place to go read and disconnect with the world

2-    You can go with friends after class to relax and enjoy the amazing weather

3-    It is also the perfect place for couples to go boating or just relax in the garden

4-    You can go for a picnic with friends during the weekend

5-    It is the perfect place to go play and enjoy time with your classmates

6-    Well, of course you can’t come to Madrid and not take “The cliché tourist picture”
